This colorful lithograph, probably from the 1960s, is another instance of Jewett’s enduring legacy.  While the quotation is about friendship, the imagery, vaguely Scandinavian in the iconography, colors, and costume, is all about the comforts of home, a favorite theme in Jewett’s work.
